You may love the way that makeup makes you look, if you leave that makeup on too long, it may not be good for your skin. Most makeup is designed to stay on your face but not for an extended period of time. There are ingredients added into foundation, mascara, blush, lipstick and eye shadow that are meant to keep the color from brushing and rubbing off or wearing away.
That is a good thing when you want to make sure that you look as good at the end of the day as you did when the day began. Unfortunately, all those ingredients also have another effect on your skin. The pores of your skin are designed to let your skin breathe and rid itself of oil and other waste. When your face is covered with makeup, those pores are blocked or clogged. It keeps your skin from shedding the cells it needs to get rid of, and keeps all those oils inside. Here are some tips for removing all kinds of makeup gently and thoroughly. These tips can also help your skin to continue looking its best.
- Remove eye makeup first. The skin around your eyes is the most delicate skin on your entire body, and we tend to load it up with powdered and cream eye shadows, eye liner and mascara, which just happen to be the most difficult kinds of makeup to remove. Removing eye makeup often requires oil or other products that you would rather not use on the rest of your face, especially if your skin is prone to being oily.
- Get out the baby oil or mineral oil. Most makeup, including waterproof mascara, is oil-soluble. A cotton ball soaked with baby oil makes a great makeup remover pad that removes almost anything you put on your face. Follow up by washing your face with gentle soap and patting it dry. – Olive oil is another good option for removing stubborn makeup. Just place a few drops on your fingertips or on a cotton ball and rub it in gentle circles over your closed eyes to loosen mascara. This even works with stubborn, waterproof mascara and lash-lengthening mascara. Finish by washing your face with gentle soap and splash with lukewarm water.
- Makeup Remover Pads are the perfect choice for sensitive skin and eyes, especially when you are away from home. They come packed in a little tins that are just the right size to either fit in your pocket or inside your bag. This is especially useful if you are taking a long flight since you are able to remove your makeup if it begins to get late.
- Wash dry skin with milk. Yes, milk. If your skin is relatively problem free – that is, not prone to acne – milk is an excellent gentle, moisturizing cleanser for your face. Be sure to rinse well, though, since milk can leave residue behind on your face. Avoid using milk on acne and breakouts, though. It can make them worse.
- Use your fingertips or a cleansing wipe to apply cleanser. Wash your hands first, so that you do not transfer dirt to your face. Swipe the cleanser or oil over your face, and then gently massage it into your skin to loosen dirt and makeup. Use a clean tissue or cotton square to wipe away the oil and the dirt and follow up by washing with a gentle cleanser.
- Choose the right cleanser for your skin type. If you choose a commercial cleanser, be sure to choose the right kind for your skin. If you are not certain of your skin type, stop at the cosmetic counter at your favorite department store and ask. Most skin consultants should be happy to give you a quick consultation and offer advice.
- If you wear contact lenses, remove your contacts before you take off your makeup. That way you can avoid getting anything on the lenses that might damage them. Another important eye makeup rule for lens wearers is to replace your eye shadows and mascara every six months or more often.

Makeup Beauty Products and Different Kinds of Makeup

As a woman I am very attach to cosmetics. I can not handle to go to the office with out makeup. I admit my bag has a lot of makeup beauty products which include: facial powder, lip gloss and lipstick, blush on, eye shadows, and mascara. I just hate it to see if my face is very oily or my lips are cracked. Maybe not all women have great interest of makeup beauty products but now, it seems like, if you are not using any of it, you will feel left behind.

Our facial skin is oily. It is kind of ugly and dull if we wander on public faces wearing that pale and oily faces. It will just take a simple step if you really want to learn. Whether if it is day or night, if you are at a party, or just strolling on streets, applying makeup also depends on the occasions and places.

There are five kinds of makeup to be considered: street makeup, theatrical makeup, natural or straight makeup, makeup for photography, and corrective makeup.

The street makeup is the one that is available everywhere and can sometimes cost less money. Buying street makeup it is understood you will not be singing opera under thousands of watts of theatrical lighting. Usually it is designed for light, personal, and everyday use.

The theatrical makeup on the other hand is heavily pigmented so that it does not washout under the bright lights of the stage. It will holdup under physical stress such as dancing or singing with sweaty tenors. The style will vary with the size of the stage and audience. “Intimate” theater is a small stage, close to a small audience. Makeup for intimate theater is much more normal looking compared to makeup for a large theater where facial expressions must be projected for a thousand feet.

The normal or straight makeup is best when making a film or a video. Makeup for this application is very precise because it is assumed a shot can be made weeks apart from others that will match into the scene. Just see to it that the color is steady or consistent.

Makeup for still photography follows the same logic as makeup for film and video, except for the fact that a flash is often used. Makeup for black and white photography is supposed to be very specialized.

Corrective makeup is for people who have something to hide like scars, birthmarks and other skin discoloration. For example, if you are only trying to hide a few zits, use a “cover-up” type makeup on the spots rather than overdo it with foundation.

You can freely use makeup beauty products as long as you know what you will look like after. If you think that it is good for you look in the mirror, then go for it. Mirrors never lie anyway. For sure you can erase makeup right? What is good to makeup is that, you can reapply it anytime and anywhere you want to.

There are various kinds of makeup cosmetics on the market and these vary from mineral makeup cosmetics, MAC makeup cosmetics, MAC cosmetics makeup, and permanent cosmetic makeup. Makeup cosmetics are important to how most women feel on a day to day basis. They like to feel confident and beautiful.

One way to do this is with make up cosmetics. With the many types of makeup cosmetics on the market it is hard to know which products are best for you, below are few things you need to know about makeup. If you are looking for makeup cosmetics that won’t be harmful to your skin, then you should look at mineral cosmetics makeup. They contain no allergens and won’t irritate your skin.

Women with sensitive skin have discovered that they must be selective in choosing their facial products. Permanent cosmetic makeup may not be practical for them. Some traditional products irritate skin, causing embarrassing red blotches and skin blemishes. These women are becoming passionate about the new line of mineral makeup cosmetics. Originally introduced for women with sensitive skin, mineral makeup products contain ingredients that are safe for all skin types, and look great on all skin tones.

If you have had enough of applying make up cosmetics daily, permanent cosmetic makeup will be the best way to go. You will wake up in the morning with makeup and shower with makeup, but obviously the price differs from ordinary make up cosmetics. Mineral makeup cosmetics are probably the safest route to follow, since ordinary makeup cosmetics contain allergens.

Women trust familiar cosmetics, and may be skeptical about trying new products. Mineral makeup offers an entire line of products. Trying a new cosmetic product may rejuvenate your look, and work wonders on tired skin. Smart women know they don’t have to come with an expensive name brand to help you look marvelous.

The only advice that can be given is that most makeup cosmetics do something to your skin, and although you do not see it early in life, you will eventually. See if you can avoid using it too often, because they contain allergens that can irritate and harm your skin. Makeup has been used for ages and while rouge used to be the signature of the lower social classes we have now created a mass market for women.

There are many ways to use makeup cosmetics to enhance your appearance. The methods you choose to apply makeup cosmetics is up to you; however knowing what is out there for your use will help make the decision easier. Less is more has been the new way to apply makeup, though we still see heavy eye shadow and dark lipstick most women have gone with a more subtle approach.

Makeup may make us feel beautiful, but it is still how we view ourselves on the inside that counts. Makeup cosmetics products will be the best the market can offer if you are serious about your skin.

Your First Makeup Tools Kit

COLLAGE OF TOOLSAuthor: Rachel Broune

Achieving a flawless face isn’t just about the makeup, but how it’s applied. The right tools can help you achieve your makeup goals more precisely and easily. Every makeup brush, like other makeup tools, has its own function. But you don’t need them all. Choose the tools that make sense for you. Makeup tools may include cosmetic Brushes, Cosmetic Containers, Makeup Mirror, Tweezers, Cosmetic Bags, Eyelash Curler, Cosmetic Case and Makeup Kits.

One should take right tools for wearing makeup as they are very important like makeup. Makeup tools have a tendency to be underrated aspect and overlooked for large numbers of women. Makeup accessories for most of women contain lip brush, powder puff or little makeup brushes. If one who is cared for makeup brushes in the right manner, makeup tools can be last for numbers of years. Before buying makeup brushes, one should examine that brushes should be full and soft and feel easy in the hand. If bristles of brushes come out, do not buy the brushes as it can make worse for the skin.

Good quality brushes are essential if you want professional looking makeup. In my opinion, they are the most important tools a girl can have in her bag. The two main brushes that you need are for powder and blush, both of which should have soft, natural bristles.

Some Makeup Tools

Makeup sponge – For applying foundation. You can also apply foundation with your fingers, if you find this easier. However, dabbing on foundation with a makeup sponge will give you better coverage. A triangle-shaped makeup sponge is the best tool for applying foundation as it reaches areas such as the sides of the nose and the corners of the eyes. Any excess blusher and flaky eye makeup can be wiped away with a makeup sponge.

Eye liner brush – Powdery eyeshadow can also be used as an eyeliner by applying eyeshadow with a damp, narrow brush. A narrow brush gets right to the base of the lashes. You can also apply liquid liner with an eye liner brush.

Sponge applicator – Use a sponge applicator to apply eyeshadow to the eyelid. Starting from the outer corner of the eye, blend the eyeshadow using a shading brush.

Concealer brush – The concealer brush is slightly flat. It helps hide circles under the eyes, patches around the nose, and any small flaws and blemishes neatly and naturally. The bristles should be fairly firm as a soft-bristled brush may create an uneven finish.

Powder puff – Use a powder puff to apply loose powder over foundation and touch up makeup throughout the day. For an even matt result, apply powder by pressing, not dragging the powder puff over the skin. Tap any excess powder from the puff onto the back of your hand for a light result.

Lumene – Facial powders always include a powder puff.

Eyelash curler – It is an absolutely essential tool for your makeup. While it may look like a mini medieval torture device, this tool is actually extremely helpful in opening up the eye and adding a dramatic look to any makeup creation. The key when using an eyelash curler is to learn how to hold it.

Other great products to have in your kit include slant tweezers, a brush cleaner and good-quality makeup brushes. With tweezers, the important thing to remember is to buy a pair that has textured ends for easy grip and painless hair removal.

Cut Your Beauty Expenses With Natural Makeup

One look that is universally flattering, a look that makes older women look younger, which makes younger women look prettier, is the barely there, no makeup look. At least it appears as if you aren’t using any makeup. As if you were born with that radiant glow.

Eyes are sparkly. Lips and cheeks are rosy. Skin looks gorgeous. Wait a minute, is she wearing makeup. Can’t really tell. Now that’s the kind of reaction you want from people who look your way.

The idea is to wear makeup that is barely there. Apply only what you need and nothing more. Choose your colors carefully. The trick is in the color and texture of what you use on your face and how you apply your makeup.

If you have good skin, you do not even need a makeup foundation. All you need is a moisturizer with SPF and a light dusting of translucent powder for your base.

If your skin is uneven, a tinted moisturizer should help even it up yet let your skin show through so you don’t look made up.

If you have pimples, calm them down first with ice. Then apply a touch of concealer to hide them. One with a greenish tinge would neutralize the redness of these angry pimples.

If you have panda eyes, lie down, close your eyes and put a slice of raw potato over each eye. Rest for ten minutes with the potatos on your eyes and let the stuff in the potatos lighten your dark circles. Then apply concealer only on the dark circles. A yellow tinged concealer would neutralize the dark circles more effectively.

For your cheeks, if your skin is oily, then you need a powder blusher. Get a large powder brush to pick up the color. Pat the brush to dust off the excess. Then run the brush lightly over your cheeks, forehead, chin and nose to give your face that radiant glow.

If you have normal or dry skin, use a cream blush. With your finger tips, dab a tiny dot of cream blush on the apples of your cheeks and blend in thoroughly for that rosy flush.

You don’t need much eye makeup. Overdone eyes are aging. You just need two neutral shades. Maybe a light peach or beige or warm brown, depending on your skin tone. And a dark brown for contouring and lining your eyes with. Use an eyeshadow brush to apply the lighter shade over your eyelids. Then line your eyes with an eyeliner brush, using the dark eyeshadow.
Finish off with a coat of black or brown mascara. Black looks great on olive or darker skin and on brunettes while brown looks more natural on blondes.

Pick a lipstick in a rosy hue a few shades darker or brighter than your natural lip color. Use a lip brush to paint that lipstick on your lips.

If you want lip gloss, get vaseline. Put a dab of vaseline on the back of your clean, dry hand. Pick up some lipstick with your lip brush and mix that with the vaseline for that rosy tintture on your lips.. Apply the mix

The term natural makeup is used to describe the makeup that mimics the tone and nuance of a person’s skin. The skin has many shades and tones. The ultimate goal of implementing a natural makeup is to create a harmony with what nature has given us. Often, the natural makeup is confused with the lack of makeup. Do not apply makeup means a lack of effort and time, the natural makeup is actually the opposite. It is carefully selected and implemented with the aim of enhancing the factions appear to be a beautiful gift of genetics. This does not suggest that the natural makeup involves spend an incredible amount of time by applying an exceptional amount of makeup. It simply means spending some time applying makeup strategically important. Let me explain this.
To start with the Natural Makeup 1. Always starts cleaning, tonic and moisturize the face and eye area. For a mature skin, I use a serum alpha hydroxy for a gentle exfoliation and to have a more smooth skin. The serum will help the skin look dull and pale and improve skin colour removing dead cells in the skin surface.
2. In implementing the natural makeup, I like to see photographs of my days of youth and remember the colors that lit my face when I was a girl. Miro cheeks and lips to know what the tone of pink or peach that I use. Over the years, changing the color of hair, skin changes and no longer see the colors that once gave us nature. Once you look at your pictures and decide what are the natural colors for your skin, the rest is easy.
Applying Makeup Natural 1. Then, perhaps need to correct dark circles. No matter what you want to look natural, if you have bags and dark circles simply tired lights!

2. Not all women need to use basis. A moisturizer with color is a brilliant trick for natural makeup. You’re nourishing the skin with an added benefit, a little color. You can also choose to apply a little basis only in parts red to match the skin. Those who have been blessed by Mother Nature just need a good moisturizing cream to give a healthy glow.
The end result of a natural makeup is to give skin a glow of youth. That’s why the foundation and heavy matte finishes are used very little in the natural makeup.
3. When I was young, my cheeks always had a pink hue. This is the inspiration of natural makeup. Use a colorete similar to those you see in photographs. If you can not see either color due to poor quality of the photograph or lack of color, this is an easy trick: grabs your cheeks gently. Remember: Gently. The black and blue are not within the natural color scheme. A pinch will give you a soft tone naturally. Apply colorete in apples of the cheeks.
I sometimes step a little powder or bronzer colorete in areas of my face where it could be tanned. Again, this provides a natural gloss. Simply you must be careful not to apply too. It is not advisable to look as though you’d burned sunbathing.
4. The natural eye makeup is simple. Use neutral tones. The colors such as gray brown, brown, peach and mauve give freshness. These neutral colors will allow your natural shine factions complementing the iris. When I apply makeup naturally, I remain within the same family of colors for eyes, cheeks and lips. Use your natural brilliance as a guide for choosing colors. As I have a naturally rosy cheeks and lips the same color, use a shade of mauve clear, and a bright pink colorete transparently with a tint of pink. The colors do not compete with each other and are not the most important part of my face. By contrast, the brightness is the most fresh highlights in my face.
5. A clearly delineate powder can be applied to make the lashes look thicker, as in days of our youth. Probably notes that the drafting is not necessary.
6. Riza eyelashes and apply a mask or brown transparent to add length. The brown is a natural color that will not look exaggerated, but only lengthen the tabs and fill areas that seem a little spaced.
7. It uses a bar-like lips and creamy tone of your lips. Apply a little brightness in the center of the lips to accentuate its size. Instead of a bar of creamy lips, you can use a bright color. The colored glazes are excellent for giving a little color and shine all in one.

Trend: Permanent Makeup Application

Permanent makeup is quickly gaining momentum as the latest trend in cosmetic surgery. Permanent makeup application offers purely cosmetic benefits, but can also provide an enhancement to reconstructive plastic surgery.

Is Permanent Makeup for Me?

Many people dread the daily makeup ritual. Makeup can not only be expensive, but it often smudges and fades within a few hours of application. Permanent makeup can be the answer for people who want to enjoy the benefits of makeup without the attendant hassle.

Permanent makeup is also a good alternative for makeup allergies. Vision and motor skills are other common reasons to choose permanent makeup application. Applying makeup can be a difficult process for many, and permanent makeup creates flawless enhancement.

Permanent Makeup Procedure

Permanent makeup is essentially a tattoo. The procedure uses colored ink administered through a cosmetic tattooing needle. Permanent makeup application usually requires two treatments; a touch-up session about once a year may be required to maintain vivid results.

Permanent Makeup for the Eyes

Permanent eye makeup can be applied as an eye shadow or eye liner. Permanent eye liner can be performed by a certified technician in a cosmetic outpatient facility. Permanent eye shadow, however, requires expertise. Look for a certified technician with a great deal of experience.

Permanent Makeup for the Eyebrows

Permanent makeup for eyebrows is a good way to add definition to eyebrows. Many people who have experienced hair loss due to cancer treatment or conditions such as alopecia turn to permanent eyebrow applications to emulate the appearance of hair. Permanent eyebrows can also cover up hair loss due to waxing or tweezer mistakes.

The Lips and Permanent Makeup Application

Permanent makeup for the lips can create full, defined and more colorful lips. Permanent lip liner adds symmetry and definition to thinner lips. Permanent makeup for the entire lips creates full, more colorful lips. Permanent makeup applied to the entire lips can also soften wrinkles.

Combining Permanent Makeup Application With Other Cosmetic Plastic Surgery

Permanent makeup application can be combined with other forms of cosmetic plastic surgery to achieve better results. Many cosmetic reconstructive procedures, such as hair transplant and breast reconstruction require permanent makeup. For example, permanent makeup is used as part of breast reconstruction surgery to help reconstruct the areola. View plastic surgery photos and discover more about the use of permanent makeup for reconstructive plastic surgery at DocShop.com.

Risks Associated With Permanent Makeup Application

Because permanent makeup is essentially a tattoo, the risks are similar. Permanent makeup application can cause infection if needles are not sterilized. Swelling and bumps can form around the permanent makeup application. Symptoms usually subside with time. An allergic reaction to the ink is uncommon, but can create serious difficulties. There is also the risk of scars, especially among people prone to keloid formation.

The Cost of Permanent Makeup Application

The cost for permanent makeup has many variables. Some procedures require a higher level of professional expertise, and will cost more. Location of the facility is also a factor. Permanent makeup application will cost less in densely populated regions. As a general guideline, the cost for permanent makeup starts at about $350, and includes the second session. More complicated procedures can cost thousands.

The Mineral Makeup manufacturers have enjoyed a 60% increase in sales in the past year. If you are one of the many millions of women who already use Mineral Makeup, then this statistic is probably of no surprise to you. If you haven’t made the switch yet, you may be wondering what all the fuss is about. Is Mineral Makeup Really Better?

The Benefits of Mineral Makeup over regular or “traditional” makeup sold on the market today are, in fact, many. The number one reason most women make the switch is that Mineral Makeup can actually make a woman’s skin look younger. Because it is a very lightweight and silky texture – not heavy and weighed down – it gives a very natural, and younger, look. Because Mineral Makeup is truly made up of micronized minerals, it actually sits on the skin and doesn’t absorb into it, so it doesn’t clog pores or cake up in lines or creases. It sweeps away fine lines rather than accentuating them like regular makeup often does.

Not all Mineral Makeups are the same. However, Mineral Makeup made with pure minerals is hypoallergenic and can be used by women with even the most sensitive skin. And, because, it cannot clog pores, it doesn’t promote acne like regular makeup can.

Another important benefit of pure Mineral Makeup over traditional makeup for many women is the fact that natural pure minerals are actually good for your skin. They help to calm and heal your skin and provide a natural SPF 15. In fact, pure Mineral Makeup is the only makeup recommended by Plastic Surgeons and Dermatologists following surgical procedures and facial treatments.

Pure Mineral Makeups are also water resistant. They can be used by active women and will stay put even through a strenuous workout.

For many women, a natural makeup is important to them and a pure Mineral Makeup contains no animal by-products, binders, fillers, waxes, additives, chemicals or artificial ingredients.

A good Mineral Makeup line will also contain multiple shades of foundation colors within a set so that you don’t have buy a new makeup with every change of season. This is a huge money savings over regular store bought makeup.

Because of its’ unique properties, Mineral Makeup blends with your own facial oils, and creates the perfect skin color for you. You don’t have to match the foundations exactly, unlike traditional makeup. Another great plus, is that mineral makeup leaves no demarcation line where your makeup ends- like under your chin – just smooth, seamless coverage.

Though Mineral Makeup is light and feels like you are not wearing makeup at all (another plus for many of us), it provides flawless and complete coverage of fine lines, blemishes, uneven skin tone – even rosacea can be hidden – all without harming your skin. And Mineral Makeup can be used on all parts of your body-it is not just limited to your face.

Financially, Mineral Makeup is also at an advantage as you really use very little at a time and, therefore, it lasts much longer than regular makeup. And, because, no bacteria can grow in it, it doesn’t spoil like regular makeup can so it doesn’t need to be replaced.

If you haven’t tried it yet perhaps now you see why, for millions of women around the world, Mineral Makeup is Better.

Applying Makeup – Using Proper Lighting

Author: admin  //  Category: Makeup

makeupAuthor: Jennifer Kalman

THE BEST LIGHT FOR APPLYING MAKEUP How is the lighting where you apply your makeup? Are you applying your makeup in a bathroom or bedroom with one bright light above your head? Is that one overhead light casting some pretty bad shadows on your facial features, making it difficult for you to judge how much color to apply to your eyes, lips and cheeks? Understanding proper lighting and using that lighting while applying your makeup makes a big difference in how your makeup looks. The better your face is lit, the more even your makeup application will be, helping you to achieve a pretty and natural finish. Beware if you are applying your makeup in a dimly-lit room – it is easy to overdo your application. So when possible try to apply your makeup in a well-lit area. It is very helpful to be by a window for natural light. Natural daylight is the very best light for checking your makeup blending skills and intensity of the colors you’ve applied. In natural daylight, it is easy to see if you need to add color in some areas or tone down the amount of color in other areas. You can check your makeup application by looking in a mirror either next to a window or by going outside. “I have had to prepare many poorly-lit areas for makeup application in my 18+ years as a makeup artist, even removing lamp shades to get better lighting on the face of my subject! And no matter what the lighting was on-set, when possible I almost always took my subject outside to check his or his makeup in natural daylight,” says Jennifer Kalman, Commercial Makeup Artist and Founder of www.QDazzleProm.com . If your makeup application looks great in natural daylight, it will look great in most other settings, even in fluorescent office lights or soft evening lights. Once you’ve settled yourself near a good light for applying your makeup, here’s another helpful tip. For best results during your makeup application, while holding your mirror to apply your makeup be sure to turn your face (and mirror) up toward the light source, whether your light source is a lightbulb or the the natural daylight outside a window. By doing this, you can achieve an even coverage of light on your face while you apply your makeup so that no shadows will distort the amount of color you apply. For example when applying blusher, if one side of your face is in a shadow and one side of your face is in the light, you might be tempted to apply more blush on the side in the shadow because there is little light on that side of your face and you’re unable to clearly see the amount of color you have already applied. Of course, sometimes it is not possible to apply or at least check your makeup in natural daylight. In these cases, try to find the brightest indoor lighting possible. Then use the above tip of turning your face and mirror toward the light source so that there are no shadows on your face while you apply your makeup. When you’re aware of the lighting around you before applying your makeup, you will have the best results with your makeup application.makeup
